hot cocoa | coffee station inspiration

so during my regular blog hopping routine last week i was totally inspired by dear lillie's "time for coffee/hot cocoa station..." post.  i don't have a beautiful sideboard like jennifer does, but i created our own little hot drink station slice of heaven. 

i used our marble lazy susan and assembled all the things we enjoy in our coffee & hot chocolates.

on the lazy susan the green, french canning jar holds the cocoa powder, the tall ball jar has wafer cookies, the large kerr jar has small marshmallows, the green ball jar has mini marshmallows (at lexi's request), the 3 small jars/shakers in the front have pumpkin spice, cinnamon & chocolate jimmies|sprinkles.

i nestled the station between the fridge that has the milk and whipped cream and the coffee maker, which can also froth milk.  the tall green jar next to the coffee maker always holds my decaf coffee beans.  i switched to decaf during my 1st pregnancy and never went back.

the kids love this idea! they helped me shop for all the ingredients we needed and lexi totally took over once we got home filling all the jars on the lazy susan.  a girl after my own heart.  love her!

on the other side of the lazy susan is one of my vintage creations pedestal plates with cups, straws and my anthropologie measuring spoons.  the to go cups are not as pretty as cafe china cups but realistically are totally more practical for the entire family.

it was so much fun this morning making our respective beverages of choice,

making it an extremely festive experience.

such a great way to start the day and send the kids of to school with a smile.

 i love that my kids enjoy all things holidays & traditions.

and once the house is quiet and the kids are gone, i can sit down to enjoy my cup of gratitude.
